Flow Poetry Series: Rapid melting triggers glacial lake outburst floods, such as recurring severe floods along the Mendenhall River near Juneau. On this, the 25th anniversary of the 2001 horrific terrorist attacks, I am taking this opportunity to pause, reflect, and remind myself to stand again hatred, protect human dignity, but to also think about how I can take action to adjust my climate footprint.

I like the connection here between past and present, deep past and precarious present. Let’s go for moderate flow over flood every time!
